Dudley Danoff, MD, FACS
Dr. Dudley Danoff was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Princeton University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude, where he was also a member of the Scientific Honorary Society – Sigma XI. He received his medical training. He received his medical training at Yale University School of Medicine, graduating with the highest honors and becoming a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society. He completed his internship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, then returned to the Yale-New Haven Medical Center for additional training in general surgery. He completed his urologic training and fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Following this, Dr. Danoff served in the United States Air Force with the rank of Major.
Following his military service, Dr. Danoff arrived in Los Angeles, joined the clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Medicine, and served in that capacity for more than 25 years. At the same time, Dr. Danoff established the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Tower Urology Medical Group at the newly built Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Today Tower Urology is the most prestigious group of urologic surgeons and consists of 11 partners, covering the full range of urologic disciplines.
Dr. Danoff’s extensive surgical experience and expertise, particularly in the treatment of prostate, kidney and bladder cancers, has achieved world-wide recognition. He is widely published, the author of two best-selling books, has lectured around the world, and is a respected community philanthropist.
